We Think
Joshua Tree Consulting tends to look at issues holistically and
tries to address not just the
symptom, but the context in which it occurs. A firm that is having trouble
sourcing capital may have the larger issue of lacking a clear strategic
focus. A firm that has a poor track record with acquisitions may not have
a problem with underwriting. It may have room to learn how to communicate
effectively and honestly with those it acquires however. Endemic employee turnover
isn't just an issue of "bad" or "faulty" people. Quite likely
the
perceived benefits and rewards of being an associate of the company have to be addressed. In some cases, the industry has already developed an
answer to a problem - and it just needs to be found. We can add the most
value in those situations in which the true root of a problem is not yet known,
and the cure involves some level of complexity or process change.
